Welcome to the information page for schools! At Stichting Heinz Bijzondere Vakantiereizen we strongly believe in sharing knowledge and supporting future healthcare professionals. We are proud of the existing collaborations with various educational institutions and are always open to new educational partners.
Unique and valuable internship experiences
Our internships are particularly popular with students. Why? Because they offer more than a standard internship. Students fully participate in a warm team and provide direct care to guests during a holiday at home or abroad.
We offer internships for the following courses:
- MBO Level 2 – Care & Welfare Assistant
- MBO Level 3 – Nursing IG
- MBO Level 4 – Nursing
Students who have mastered basic ADL (Activities of Daily Living) skills can participate in an internship week. This internship is not only educational, but also inspiring, social and intensely enriching.

Each year, these schools provide motivated students who gain valuable practical experience with us and regularly return as volunteers.
What do we offer you as an intern?
During the internship, each student is intensively supervised by a BIG-registered nurse . The supervision consists of:
- Two personal evaluation interviews
- Opportunity to sign off on nursing procedures (if applicable)
- Guidance in a safe and professional learning environment
In addition, there is plenty of room to provide real care with attention and time for the guest. That makes our internships so special.

- Direct contact with clients in a non-institutional setting
- Interns often return later as volunteers
What do we reimburse for students?
At Stichting Heinz we take good care of our interns. We reimburse:
✔️ Additional insurance through the foundation
✔️ Lunch during the preliminary discussion
✔️ Flight ticket or bus trip to destination
✔️ Hotel stay
✔️ Breakfast, lunch (with full board) and dinner
✔️ All organized excursions
✔️ Farewell dinner
✔️ Travel expenses from home to boarding point (public transport rate)
What do you pay yourself?
- Eating and drinking on a terrace or in a café outside the hotel
- Personal purchases during free time or shopping trips
